Inheriting Relations — Protected by Reflective Poles

Thumbnail Image. Inheriting Relations — Protected by Reflective Poles

A road sign was suddenly installed along a street. Before long, many cars collided with it, and the leaning signs became a common sight. Eventually, the leaning signs were removed, leaving only reflective poles that had originally served to draw attention to the presence of the sign. In order to inherit this relationship between the reflective poles and the lost road sign, I stood in the place where the sign once was, being “protected” by the poles. The act itself became the work.
